愛知県瀬戸市「瀬戸染付」の技術保存・継承を目的としています
The aim is to preserve and pass on the traditional technique of Seto Sometsuke,
Aichi Prefecture
 当館はやきものの伝統技法である「瀬戸染付」をテーマにした施設です。
ここでは「瀬戸染付」の紹介、研修生による作業風景の公開、名品等の企画展展示、染付（絵付け）体験を行っています。 また市内唯一の古窯（こがま：市指定文化財の登窯）も保存・公開されています。
瀬戸の伝統産業を学べる施設として小学校の団体見学（30人程度）も多く受け入れています。
This facility is themed around Seto sometsuke, a traditional pottery technique.
Here you can learn about Seto sometsuke, watch trainees at work, see special
exhibitions of masterpieces, and experience sometsuke. Also preserves and
opens to the public the city's only ancient kiln (a climbing kiln designated
as a city cultural property).
As a facility where you can learn about Seto's traditional industries, it also accepts many elementary school group tours (of around 30 people). |
一般的に広く知られている染付とは異なる特徴をもつ瀬戸の染付を紹介しています。
This exhibit introduces Seto sometsuke, which has characteristics different
from the sometsuke commonly known.
