瀬戸染付名品ギャラリー

「染付」とは、一般的に酸化コバルトを含む顔料（がんりょう）、いわゆる呉須（ごす）で絵付を施したやきものを指します。
瀬戸は、磁器の原料となる木節粘土（きぶしねんど）、蛙目粘土（がいろめねんど）、砂婆（さば）などとともに、顔料の呉須も産出する世界的にもまれなやきものの産地です。この瀬戸で、19世紀初頭からつくり続けられてきた瀬戸染付の名品の数々を紹介します。
